Global Human Rights Trust (GHRT International) is India’s largest and most active human and social rights organization, dedicated to protecting and promoting human dignity across the globe. With a steadfast commitment to justice, equality, and humanitarian values, GHRT works through international collaborations, community empowerment programs, and advocacy initiatives to ensure every individual’s fundamental rights are respected and upheld. From grassmots action to global dialogue, GHRT International stands as a powerful voice for the voiceless—creating awareness, influencing policy, and driving sustainable change for a more just and inclusive world.
Global Human Rights Trust
Global Human Rights Trust (GHRT International) is an international not-for-profit organization established in January 2021 by Dr. H. R. Rehman dedicated to the promotion, protection, and realization of human rights at local, national, and global levels.
The organization works to uphold human dignity, equality, and justice through ethical governance, transparency, and accountability.
GHRT International is empanelled with NITI Aayog (Government of India) and registered under the Indian Trust Act, 1882. IT holds Special Consultative Status with UN-DESA, is a UNHRC member, follows ISO 9001:2015 (IAF) quality standards, and is affiliated with the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Ministry of Home Affairs, and Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The organization is also FCRA compliant, enabling international humanitarian engagement.
Guided by the vision of a just, inclusive, and peaceful world, GHRT International empowers communities to understand and exercise their rights while supporting initiatives in education, health, social welfare, and sustainable development, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Currently, GHRT International operates in 25 states & UT across India with over 28,000 active volunteers, including professionals from civil services, healthcare, education, engineering, and corporate sectors, and extends its work internationally across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the United States.
